In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and the 84th Anniversary of the Founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (May 15, 1941 – May 15, 2025), Hanh Phuc International General Hospital is honored to partner with the Thuận An City Youth Union and Young Pioneer Council to organize the real-life experience program “A Day as a Doctor” for students from Binh Hoa Primary School, Binh Hoa 2 Primary School, and Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School.

This meaningful activity is part of the 2025 children and youth movement of the city, aiming to equip students with useful knowledge about future careers, while fostering life skills, a passion for scientific and technological exploration, and especially, an interest in the medical field and healthcare.

The program was privileged to welcome representatives from the City Youth Union, Young Pioneer Council, school leadership boards, the Board of Directors, and medical staff of Hanh Phuc International General Hospital, along with over 50 outstanding students representing the dynamic, eager-to-learn young generation of Thuan An City.

Two Featured Topics Shared at the Hospital’s Auditorium:

Topic 1: Career Orientation – Becoming a Doctor

Presented in a relatable and easy-to-understand manner, doctors introduced the students to the journey of becoming a medical professional – from years of study and ethical training, to the challenges, joys, and responsibilities that come with the profession. The session inspired admiration, passion, and a desire to contribute to society among students while they are still at school.

Topic 2: Basic First Aid Training

The students were guided and actively participated in hands-on training in basic first aid techniques such as proper handwashing, wound dressing, and performing chest compressions. These practical skills not only help students be better prepared for everyday situations but also created an engaging and lively learning atmosphere.

Hospital Tour – Experiencing the Doctor’s World Firsthand

Following the educational sessions, students were divided into smaller groups to tour actual working environments at the Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Emergency Departments. Here, they had the opportunity to see modern medical equipment up close, listen to real-life stories shared by doctors and nurses, and ask questions that were answered with enthusiasm and openness.

This tour offered students a realistic perspective on the daily responsibilities of healthcare professionals, while also deepening their awareness of the essential role the medical field plays in community health and wellbeing.

“A Day as a Doctor” – Nurturing Dreams and Social Responsibility

“A Day as a Doctor” was more than just a field trip or career orientation event. It was a highly educational program that helped students develop a positive mindset, understand career paths more clearly, and enhance their discipline, teamwork, observation, and analytical skills through real-life experiences.
